BEREA, Ohio – The Otterbein men's basketball team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) matchup Saturday afternoon against Baldwin Wallace, 91-74.
The Cardinals (4-9, 1-5 OAC) jumped out to a quick 13-point lead with nine of their 15 points coming off three shots from behind-the-arc from sophomore guard

A quick 10-2 run from Baldwin Wallace (9-4, 3-3 OAC) was capped off with a three-pointer from Jay Battle to cut the Otterbein lead to five. Sophomore forward
Jay Joseph rattled off four consecutive points to push the lead to nine.
The Yellow Jackets were able to tie the game up at the 3:01 mark with a three pointer from Michael Quiring. Otterbein was able to take a two-point lead into the locker room, after sophomore guard
Maurice Beavers connected from deep with a minute left in the half.
Baldwin Wallace came out of the locker room with a fast start, sinking seven of its first eight shots to take a five-point lead. Otterbein kept the game close, down by only one after a three-pointer from sophomore guard
Eddie Anders with 11:49 left remaining.
The Cardinals hit a cold stretch where they made just five baskets across seven minutes, which saw Baldwin Wallace extend their lead to 17.
The Yellow Jackets shot a scorching 62 percent from the field in the second half compared to 43 percent by the Cardinals.
Otterbein was led by Joseph, who recorded his second double-double of the season, contributing 18 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Beavers added 17 points with sophomore forward
Justin Carter grabbing seven boards.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Drew Sova, who shot an incredible 10-of-10 from the floor, scoring 23 points. Baldwin Wallace had four players in double-figures with three players recording seven rebounds apiece.
Otterbein will face the Quakers of Wilmington College Wednesday night inside the Rike Center at 7 p.m. in an OAC matchup.
