WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's basketball team completed a 23-point come from behind win Saturday afternoon inside the Rike Center, defeating No. 20-ranked Baldwin Wallace, 79-71, in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) game.
Both teams got off to a good start, trading baskets in the early minutes of the game until Baldwin Wallace (10-3, 4-2 OAC) rattled off a 9-0 run that culminated in an old-fashioned three-point play from Gabby Garrett.

The Cardinals were struggling from the field until a floater inside the paint from junior guard
Delaney Cutteridge stopped a 14-0 spurt from Baldwin Wallace at the 4:45 mark. Kissel spearheaded a 9-0 run to cut the 23-point Yellow Jacket lead to 14 heading into the locker room.
The Cardinals came out of the break with a hot start, opening up a 10-2 second-half advantage with a layup from Kissel at 5:45 mark. Both teams traded baskets before Otterbein finished the third quarter with an 11-3 run which saw a three-pointer from Kissel in the closing seconds to cut the deficit to five.

Angelia Jackson and Kissel tied the game up at 58-58 with 8:58 left in the contest. Baldwin Wallace jumped out in front before a big three-pointer from senior guard
Ali Cartnal tied the game up with 3:28 left at 69-69.
A driving layup from Kissel with two and a half minutes left gave the Cardinals their first lead since being ahead 4-3, three minutes into the contest. That basket sparked a 10-2 run to end the game for Otterbein, which saw Cartnal scoring the last eight points.
Cartnal and Kissed combined for 49 points, while Scholz recorded a game-high eight rebounds, three of which were on the offensive end. Baldwin Wallace was led by Kara Marshall and Gabby Garrett with 13 points apiece.
The Cardinals will to travel to Wilmington to take on the Quakers Wednesday night inside the Fred Raizk Arena at 7 p.m.
