TIFFIN, Ohio- Otterbein women's soccer claimed victory today over visiting Heidelberg University, 1-0. With the win the Cardinals are now riding an eight game win streak to improve to 12-1-1 and 5-0 in conference play. Heidelberg drops to 5-8-1 on the season and 1-4 in the OAC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The two sides played to a 0-0 draw after the first half as neither team could find the back of the net.
   
• Otterbein outshot the host Student Princes 6-0 after the first 45 minutes.
   
• Bella Shivley put the Cards in the driver's seat in the 51st minute, scoring an unassisted goal.
   
• Otterbein cruised to victory, outshooting the hosts 12-6.
   
• Erin Gordon played the full 90 minutes in net for the Cards, but thanks to another strong effort from her defense she was not forced to make any saves.

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Today's game marks the first time this season that Gordon has not made a save for the Cards.
   
• The shutout is now the sixth of the season.
