WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's basketball team shined on senior day, as the Cardinals defeated Muskingum 90-60 as the five seniors combined for 65 points.

Dani Kissel were all honored before the game for their effort and time dedicated to the Otterbein basketball program.
The Cardinals set a new season-high with 23 assists and scored 32 points in transition.
Otterbein remains tied for second place in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) with Baldwin Wallace, as the Yellow Jackets earned their 11th conference victory over Capital.
The Cardinals are now 15-8 overall and 11-5 in the league, while Muskingum falls to 1-22 on the year and 0-16 in the OAC.
In the first quarter, Otterbein opened the game by starting its five seniors who put together a 7-0 run and led 24-11 at the end of one. The Cardinals continued to push the tempo in the second quarter and built its largest lead of the first half at 27 after Jones made a free throw.
Otterbein led 46-23 at the break and forced 17 turnovers and scored 15 points off the turnovers.
Cartnal connected on a three pointer with 5:29 left in the third quarter to give the Cardinals their largest lead of the afternoon at 33 points.

Connie Richardson pulled her five seniors off the court and embraced each of them with a hug as the Rike Center erupted.
The Cardinals scored 23 points off of 24 turnovers and shot 47 percent from the floor. Kissel led with a game-high 21 points, as Cartnal scored 20 points, dished out six assists and recorded a career-high seven steals.
Schaffer tallied 14 points on 75 percent shooting from the field. Merk went a perfect 3 of 3 from the floor and Jones had a season-high five assists.
Otterbein will take on John Carroll Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The Blue Streaks are currently first in the OAC with a conference mark of 13-3 and defeated the Cardinals earlier this season by a score of 72-66.
