WESTERVILLE, Ohio- Women's Soccer flexed its muscle Saturday afternoon to easily handle the visiting Student Princes, 7-0.
The Cardinals remain unbeaten in Ohio Athletic Conference play at 5-0 and now stand at 11-1 overall on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cardinals scored four times in the first half with goals coming from
Morgan Somers (2:01),
Sydney Walker (21:30),
Delaney Earl (40:02), and the first collegiate score for
Lindsey Whitmore (41:36).
Earl (2),
Grace Weidenhamer, and
Cierra Clemons all earned assists in the first half.
Otterbein took 22 shots in the first half and held Heidelberg to none.
Weidenhamer (62:52) and
Bailey Zanella (79:08) opened up the scoring in the second half before Earl found her second of the afternoon.
Somers and
Emma Smith collected assists in the second half.
The Cardinals once again held the Student Princes without a shot in the second half while they took 12 more for a final margin of 34-0.
Otterbein also dominated in corner kick opportunities with ten compared to just one for the visitors.
