Alliance, Ohio – Despite taking another early lead, Otterbein women's basketball had it's three game winning streak snapped at the hands of Mount Union on Friday night, 86-76.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Otterbein started hot again, this time scoring 27 points in the first quarter, taking a nine-point advantage into the second.

• The Cardinals grew the lead to 11 before halftime, but soon saw it slip away after the Raiders went on an 11-0 run early in the third.

• The Raiders tied things up at 64 with 6:18 to go and never looked back, leading by as many as 14 down the stretch.

• Mount Union outscored the Cards 32 to 16 in the final frame to secure their first victory of the season.

 
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Five Cardinals scored in double digits, including three starters.

• Jenna Hoschouer, Abby Zerkle and Katie McCrary each scored 13, while Tamia Kendrick chipped in 12 of her own.

• Mount Union used a fast-paced offense to help secure the win, outscoring Otterbein in transition 31-10.
