WESTERVILLE, Ohio – After enduring a double-digit road loss over the weekend, Otterbein returned home in style Wednesday evening with a dominant 20-3 victory over Marietta College inside Memorial Stadium.
The Cardinals, playing in front of fans for the first time this season, bump their season record back to 3-2 overall on the spring. Marietta drops to 2-3 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The game was all Otterbein early, as the hosts jumped out to a 6-0 lead thanks to an immediate hat trick from Cameron Finnegan.

- Marietta briefly stopped the momentum, scoring twice in a span of two minutes to remain close temporarily.

- The Cards eventually began pulling away, forcing a multitude of Pioneer turnovers and swinging that into a 12-3 halftime lead.

- Otterbein kept Marietta off the scoreboard over the final 40:53 of game time, posting an 8-0 scoring advantage in the second half and cruising to victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Finnegan and Julia Karas both had six goals to lead the way. Finnegan now has 13 in two career matchups with Marietta, while Karas delivered a behind-the-back highlight for an exclamation mark down the stretch.

- Otterbein finished with a commanding 41-9 shot advantage, including a 29-7 edge on goal.

- Emily Willms (3) and Macey Buchanan (2) also enjoyed multi-goal outings, as Buchanan also caused a game-high three turnovers and collected three ground balls.

- Marietta was able to win nine draw controls, but committed 31 turnovers on the night.
