FINAL RESULTS
MARIETTA, Ohio - The Cardinal men's tennis team packed up the brooms and headed down south to Marietta College Thursday afternoon, sweeping the host Pioneers in a rescheduled showdown from earlier this season.
Otterbein won all nine courts at the Beren Tennis Center, improving to 4-1 on the spring with one regular-season matchup to go. The Cards now have more than a week off for final exams before traveling up to Mount Union next Saturday, May 1.
Brandon Wall and
Jamie Price went 8-1 at first doubles, while the other tandems of
Jake McDivitt/
Tom Ohler and
Connor Radune/
Jared Deel both finished unscathed at 8-0.
More comfortable victories were in store during singles action, where Otterbein dropped just two entire games en route to another clean sheet. Freshman
Dylan Shook made his varsity debut at the No. 6 position.
Wall moved to 5-0 on the schedule individually while Radune, Ohler and McDivitt all stand 4-1. The Cards have no tallied three-straight shutouts spanning Capital, BW and Marietta.
