FINAL RESULTS
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Otterbein men's tennis team kept cruising to finish out the regular-season Saturday afternoon on the road, blanking host Mount Union at the Whitehill Courts during Ohio Athletic Conference play.
The Cardinals conclude their brief schedule with a 5-1 record, good enough to warrant the No. 2 seed in the upcoming OAC Tournament beginning next week. Stay tuned for more details on the six-team event.
Brandon Wall, who stands 6-0 individually, worked with teammate
Jamie Price to emerge 7-4 in a tiebreak at first doubles early in the day against Mount Union.
Tom Ohler and
Jake McDivitt emerged 8-2 at the second position while
Connor Radune and
Armando DiMichaelangelo won 8-3.
More victories would be in store during the singles section, as Wall once again had to work to remain unscathed. He prevailed 8-6 in a first-set breaker, and then used that momentum en route to a lopsided 6-1 triumph in the second set.
Radune (7-5, 6-3) secured a workmanlike effort at the second spot and
Jamie Price followed by going 6-2, 6-3 at third singles.
McDivitt (6-1, 6-4), Ohler (6-2, 6-2) and Bobab Mihajlov (6-1, 6-0) all followed with comfortable decisions.
