MSOC: Cards Kickoff Road Trip With a Win

LEXINGTON, Kentucky – Men's Soccer collected its first win of the fall campaign Saturday afternoon by knocking off Transylvania, 2-0. The Cards are now 3-0 against the Pioneers dating back to 2018.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The two sides played to a scoreless draw after the first 45 minutes of action.
     
  • Otterbein held a 7-1 shot advantage at the break, but Pioneer keeper Cade Terry saved their only shot on goal.
     
  • Will Isaac eventually scored the winner in the 68th minute when he beat Terry, thanks to a setup from Silver Abraham.
     
  • Joshua Conroy gave the Cards some breathing room with a score in the 76th minute, this time on an assist from Coby Stover.
     
  • Andrew McIlvoy collects his first win in goal, playing the full 90 minutes making two saves.
THE STATS:
  • Otterbein held a commanding 17 to 5 shot advantage, with five on frame compared to just two for the hosts.
     
  • The Cards also had an advantage with six corner kicks, three in each half, to just three for the Pioneers.
     
  • Isaac led the Cardinal attack with four shots while four others took two of their own.
     
UP NEXT:

Otterbein will hit the road for a quick turnaround with Hanover tomorrow afternoon in Indiana; kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
