WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Otterbein took down Muskingum 7-0 inside Memorial Stadium to claim its first Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) win this season on Saturday afternoon. Multiple Cardinals found themselves in scoring positions, along with 11 different subs taking the field to contribute to the well-rounded victory.

As a result, Otterbein holds an overall record of 7-1-2 and moves up to 1-0-2 in the OAC. Muskingum is now 2-8 while falling to 1-2 in the conference.

The slew of goals was spread across four different Cardinals, with six additional Cards contributing in assists. The Otterbein defensive line posted its fourth shutout on the season with Casey Thompson and Jackson Weber sharing time defending the goal.

Gabe Sharrock started the Cardinals off strong within the first minute of play. A cross from Silver Abraham allowed Sharrock to finish inside the 18-yard box at the 40-second mark.

Reigning OAC "Offensive Player of the Week" Will Isaac took credit for the next three goals in earning a hat trick on the day. A double-assist from Sharrock and Patrick Ahrens led to the first goal, followed by a cross from Sharrock again to complete the second. A foul inside the Muskie 18-yard box led to a penalty kick opportunity for Otterbein. Isaac took the line and promptly completed his trifecta.

Mitchell Patterson then claimed his two goals of the match late in the first half, as both were scored off crosses near the corner. Dominic Antronica earned credit for the assist on Patterson's first goal, while Matt Hinkle was credited with the second.

The final goal of the contest was scored by Giuseppe Maida. Kasdin Hale played a quick give-and-go back to Maida just outside the 18-yard box, where Maida fired a shot that proved too difficult for Caden Groff.

Muskingum created two breath-holding moments in the second half starting in the 61st minute. A shot by Morgan McKenna banged off the Cardinal crossbar and barely rolled out of bounds. Mere minutes after, Dilpreet Sandhu launched a shot that narrowly missed wide just over the net. Otterbein's defense remained solid and held the Muskies to three shots total.

The Cardinals will hit the road for their next two matches, traveling to Wilmington to take on the Quakers in their next OAC matchup come Wednesday night.
