BEREA, Ohio – Otterbein fell victim to a big second half from No. 12-ranked Baldwin Wallace inside Ursprung Gymnasium during women's basketball action Saturday afternoon, as the host Yellow Jackets pulled away following the break to remain hot.
BW wins its fifth-straight game, and has only lost once (a 68-65 game to John Carroll) over the past six weeks. The Cardinals, meanwhile, now stand 14-6 on the year despite the setback.
WHAT TOOK PLACE:
- Otterbein fell behind early against the nationally-ranked Yellow Jackets, trailing 16-10 after a first quarter that saw BW close with an 8-2 spurt.

- The Cards later trailed by double digits with just 1:46 to play before intermission, but went into the locker room on a high note thanks to six-consecutive points from Kathleen DeCarlo. Her mini 6-0 push kept Otterbein within 30-25.

- Baldwin Wallace extended the lead and took control over the third, using a 14-0 run to break the game open and ultimately limit the Cardinals to just eight points in the frame.

- Angelia Jackson led Otterbein in scoring for the second-straight game, leading all players with 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting. She also tied for a team-best four rebounds.
