TIFFIN, Ohio – Otterbein made light work of Heidelberg on the men's lacrosse field Saturday evening under the lights of Hoernemann Stadium, cruising past the host Student Princes by a count of 17-2.
The contest, taking place at night following a home track meet, saw the Cardinals carry a touchdown lead into halftime and later blow things open in the third quarter.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Otterbein built a 4-0 lead after the first quarter and had five different goal scorers by the 13:00 mark of the second quarter, where Max Graham finished a pass from Nick Asuan.

- Asuan played a role in four-consecutive goals there for the Cards, scoring to begin a third quarter that saw Otterbein post a 6-0 edge.

- Marco Cuda had back-to-back goals in the frame, punctuated by a score from Justin Dyer with just 10 seconds left.

- The fourth quarter was just a formality, with Heidelberg scoring twice sandwiched around a quartet from Otterbein. Ian Evans netted two in the sequence.

NOTABLE STATS:
- Five Cardinals tallied multi-point evenings, led by five from Asuan on two goals and three helpers. Nick Wile posted a hat trick, capped on a goal with 19 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

- Otterbein dominated the faceoff X behind five wins each from Dyer, Eddie McDonald and Davis Tanaka. The Cards won 16 of 23 as a group.

- The Cardinals assisted 11 of 17 goals and had a whopping 18 different players tally at least one point.

- Otterbein finished with a lopsided 54-14 edge in total shots and were a perfect 20 of 20 on clear attempts.
