GAMBIER, Ohio – "Do you remember… the 21st night of September?"
The Otterbein Volleyball team (ranked No. 11 in the AVCA national poll for the second week in a row) brought its own version of
Earth, Wind & Fire in a sweep of host Kenyon Wednesday night to continue non-conference action.
The Cardinals won the initial two sets rather handily before needing to come from behind in the third, but emerged nonetheless by scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-22. Otterbein now stands 12-2 overall this season as a result.
Otterbein trailed 15-8 during the final set before kicking back into gear, using a 12-1 run to leap ahead and seal the deal. The Cards have now topped Kenyon in five-straight meetings and 10 of the last 11.

The defense remained in control of the ground game and limited the Owls into hitting just .120 for the night.
Bridget Oder and
Morgan Hartman combined for 20 digs while
Amanda Troyer secured another five.
WIND:
Multiple hitters found success with a nice breeze behind their swings.
Aubrey Geis (7-0-9) and
Amber Greeley (5-0-9) were mistake free while Hartman and the rising

FIRE:
All-American setter
Carlie Craycraft fed the hot hands at the appropriate times, dishing out 25 assists for an offense that hit .358 collectively.
Olivia Vitaz, Oder and Kailey Misher (seeing her first action in almost three weeks after a slight injury) combined for another 12 dimes.
The Cardinal service game almost saw double-digit fireballs, racking up nine aces behind the likes of Craycraft (3), Oder (2),
Emily Skelley (2) and others.
FRI-YAY:
The Cardinals will close out the week Friday evening with a pair of matches at the Mount St. Joseph Invitational, opening against Transylvania before taking on the host Lions around 8 p.m.
