BEXLEY, Ohio – It was a tough fourth quarter and final result for the Otterbein women's basketball team Saturday night, as the Cardinals relinquished a lead to host Capital in a low-scoring battle.
The Cards, entering having won six of the last seven in this series (including the first installment last month), carried a 37-32 cushion into the culminating frame before the Comets rallied down the stretch.
NOTABLE TIDBITS:
- Capital scored just eight points in both the first and third quarters, but hung close with Otterbein never scoring more than 13 in any period.

- The Comets used an 16-4 run beginning the fourth quarter, taking a seven-point lead and holding in crunch time.

- The Cardinals had possession trailing 50-47 in the closing seconds, but an inbounds pass was just off the mark and resulted in a turnover.

- Olivia Majors scored 23 for the second time this week, representing nearly half of Otterbein's team total. She made five shots from behind the arc and went an even 8 of 16 overall.

- Kathleen DeCarlo posted a double-double featuring 12 points and 11 rebounds, playing all but one minute of the game.
