TIFFIN, Ohio – A record-setting effort on the defensive end propelled Otterbein to a lopsided road victory at Heidelberg, as the Cardinals stifled the host Student Princes in a 64-26 victory Saturday afternoon at Seiberling Gymnasium.
The Cardinals set a new program record for fewest points allowed in a single game, edging out the performance of an 81-27 triumph against Marietta way back in January of 2007. Otterbein has now held eight opponents to 55 points or less this season.
The victory also marks the 10th in a row for Otterbein in the series, having limited Heidelberg to a combined 71 points in the two contest this winter after a 57-45 decision last month.
