WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein University football program is joining forces with Be The Match and "Get in the Game" to conduct a Marrow Donor and Stem Cell Registry Drive this Friday, Match 31, inside the campus center.
The drive, taking place from 9-12 in the morning, welcomes anyone between the ages of 18-40 to quickly register and provide a simple cheek swab.
This event is open to the general public with the goal of registering as many individuals as possible!
"Be The Match" is a nonprofit organization operated by the National Marrow Donor Program in the United States. Approximately 70 percent of the time, a patient who needs a transplant cannot find a match within their own family. When that is the case, doctors turn to the national registry database to fund an unrelated donor match.
