CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Cardinals wrapped up their regular season on a challenging note, embarking on a journey south to face Thomas More, ultimately ending with a tough 40-8 defeat.
Thomas More, fresh off its conference tournament as a Division II school, accomplished a fifth-place team finish with four individual placers. The Saints, who were in the NAIA last year, tied for seventh in the NCAA Championships.
Otterbein ends the year with a 6-9 overall dual record, including a 3-4 record in the OAC.
Highlights Included:
- In the 149 weight class, Nathan Leko battled against the national runner-up, Ryan Moore, ultimately falling short in a technical fall with a score of 19-4.
- Junior Cale Callahan won by a 11-1 major decision over Ryan Draughn in the 165-pound weight class.
- In the 184 weight class, Senior Kyle De Moss defeated Zavier Campsey by a 10-0 major decision.
- Carter Mottley picked up a victory in an exhibition bout.

The Cardinals will enjoy a brief break before regrouping for the NCAA Central Regionals, set to kick off the first weekend of March.
