BEREA, Ohio – The Otterbein men's lacrosse team hung admirably with 3x defending OAC regular-season champion Baldwin Wallace up at George Finnie Stadium, but ultimately lost ground in the second half in a 15-10 decision.
The Cardinals fall back to even across the board with the result, now standing4-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play. BW moves to 2-0 in the league.
HOW IT PLAYED OUT:
- The Jackets opened a 4-1 lead early into the second quarter before a hard-charging effort came from the Cardinals. Otterbein scored three times in less than two minutes to suddenly knot the game, 4-4.

- BW stopped that momentum and scored twice, eventually taking a slight 6-5 edge into the halftime break.

- A second half of runs would ensue following intermission, starting with Baldwin Wallace ripping off a 5-0 run to begin the third quarter. That gave the hosts a more sizeable 11-5 cushion.

- Otterbein didn't go anywhere and churned back within 11-8 after another three-goal spurt, but the hosts countered again midway through the fourth to put the game out of reach.

- The Cardinals scored twice in the final 81 seconds to help shrink the final margin.
