WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's lacrosse team punctuated its spring trip with a 17-2 victory in the nation's capital on Thursday afternoon, flying past host Trinity Washington (D.C.) in a shortened non-conference affair.
The Cardinals jumped out to a 7-1 lead after the first quarter and held a 13-2 lead by intermission. Otterbein then rattled off another four goals before the game was deemed finished.
Senior
Carli Rigel led the charge with a career-high nine points, coming on five goals and four assists.
Ava Robey and
Alyssa Glenn both enjoyed four-point days to complement the attack.
A total of 11 different Cardinals scored at least one goal, and the team won 17 of 22 draws in the middle.
Maggie Nance was forced to make just one save all day.

Otterbein will return home and play one more game before classes resume, hosting Alma College on Sunday evening at Memorial Stadium. Opening draw is scheduled for 6 p.m.
