Quotes
  • Senior Lindsey Whitmore on the win: "This win is huge. We've had four games in eight days, so it hasn't been an easy week. So for us to come out in every game and give it our all and walk away 4-0 is huge. It's a great start to the season."
  • Whitmore on her goal: "It was off of a corner kick, and there were some ricochets here and there, and then I saw the ball come to my feet, and I just put my foot through it, and it went in the net."
  • Head coach Brandon Koons on his team's offense: "The first goal was nice because we were playing against the wind. You don't want to have to come from behind, so when you can go into halftime up a goal knowing that the wind is going to be at your back in the second half helps. And then getting a goal early in the second half helped set the tone for the rest of the game. We could've had four or five goals today, but we created lots of chances, and as long as we're doing that, I'm happy."
  • Koons on his team's defense: "It has nothing to do with any kind of formation or style of play; it's just all heart. Everyone is bringing energy on that side of the ball. It's been great."
