BEREA, Ohio – The Otterbein women's soccer team dropped a 3–0 decision Saturday afternoon on the road at Baldwin Wallace.
The Cardinals battled evenly through much of the first half, with both sides tallying four shots before the Yellow Jackets found the breakthrough. Otterbein registered four shots and one save in the period while Baldwin Wallace countered with four shots, two saves, and one corner kick.
The second half saw Otterbein push forward for chances, notching five more shots and a corner, but the Yellow Jackets capitalized on their opportunities to extend the margin.
Overall, the Cardinals recorded nine shots with four on goal, while Baldwin Wallace finished with eight total shots and five on target. Sophomore Olivia Brooks led Otterbein with three shots, one on goal. Senior Rae Ehrbar added two shots, one on frame, and sophomore Alexis Pickerel also contributed two attempts.
Otterbein will look to bounce back Wednesday evening, hosting Wilmington at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
