Second half goal sinks women's soccer

ADA, Ohio – Unable to capitalize on first half chances, the Otterbein University women's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision at Ohio Northern University. 

Otterbein held the edge in shots for the game, but only could push three on frame against ONU. Late in the first half, two terrific saves by Ella Schwertfager within a two minute span kept the match scoreless. ONU's goal came off a corner kick in the 60th minute. Off the set piece, the ball was tapped from one Polar Bear to another, finding the back of the net to vault the hosts in front. 

With two games left in the regular season, the playoff picture gets even muddier across the league. Following Wednesday's games, four teams have three wins in conference play, with Wilmington leading the charge at 4-1-1 in the OAC.
 
On Saturday, Otterbein hosts Capital (8-4-2, 3-1-1) in the rivalry showdown. Kickoff at Memorial Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m.
