Through three bouts, the Scots held a 12-3 lead. Otterbein's win came from junior Gabe Thacker in a 13-8 gritty decision over Colton Kennedy. Starting with the 149 bout, the Cardinals rattled off three consecutive wins with bonus points, ignited by Zach Orseno's fall at the end of the opening period. Luke Dolan followed with a fall, this one coming in 1:08 before Carter Mottley added five points with a 19-4 tech fall. Otterbein's final two wins were won via major decisions, as Logan Cormell defeated Nate Stark, 13-4, and Matthew Bachie won 12-1 over Douglas Braidwood.
