WESTERVILLE – Otterbein qualified a record 17 student-athletes for Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference recognition for the winter 2024-25 season, the league announced on Tuesday.

Otterbein's previous record of student-athletes earning Academic All-OAC honors for the winter season was 16, set in 2024.

To earn the recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale, have reached varsity status and be at least a sophomore in academic standing. Student-athletes may not receive the honor more than three times in one sport in their careers.

The men's basketball program led the way at Otterbein with seven student-athletes earning the honor this year, while the men's wrestling and women's basketball program had five honorees each.
