GREENWOOD, Ind. – Seven Otterbein student-athletes from the men's and women's track and field programs were named to the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Team, announced Tuesday afternoon by College Sports Communicators.
To qualify, individuals must carry at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and earn a top-50 regional ranking in an event during either the indoor or outdoor season.
MEN'S HONOREES
Chase Jackson, a junior distance runner, earned recognition after landing on the regional list four times. He posted the 30th-fastest time in the 3,000 meters (8:44.54) and ranked 32nd in the 5,000 meters (15:25.53) during the indoor season. In the spring, he ranked 20th regionally in the 5,000 meters (14:53.09) and 15th in the 10,000 meters (31:29.79).
Brady Pugh, a sophomore, earned Academic All-District distinction for his effort in the steeplechase, ranking 20th in the region with a time of 9:42.34 during the outdoor season.
WOMEN'S HONOREES
Peyton Carpenter, a senior thrower, had a standout outdoor campaign, ranking third in the Great Lakes Region for javelin (41.02 meters). She also placed 21st in the shot put (12.37 meters) and was 30th indoors (11.69 meters).
Amelia Dailey, a sophomore, appeared on both regional lists. She ranked 41st in the weight throw indoors (13.69 meters) and 39th in the hammer throw outdoors (42.12 meters).
Charlie Dolliver, a junior multi-event athlete, appeared in seven different events across both seasons. She placed eighth in the region for both the pentathlon (2,665 points) and heptathlon (3,445 points), while also posting top-50 marks in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles, high jump, and triple jump.
Ravyn Goodson, a senior, earned spots for her efforts in the weight throw (13.94 meters, 34th indoor) and the discus (39.94 meters, 17th outdoor).
Alyssa Mattis, a senior middle-distance runner, rounded out the list with strong showings in multiple events. She ranked 14th regionally in the indoor 800 meters (2:21.05) and appeared on regional lists in the mile, 4x400 relay, and DMR. During outdoor season, she also ranked in the top 50 for both the 800 and 1,500 meters
