Men's soccer battles to draw with Polar Bears

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – In an intense battle and a rematch of the 2025 OAC Tournament Championship game, the Otterbein University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Ohio Northern.

The Polar Bears wasted no time getting on the board, scoring just moments into the match. Ohio Northern's Aidan McMahon buried a shot past the outstretched Jayden Burdine for a quick 1-0 lead.

Josh Lord netted the equalizer in the 11th minute. Sophomore Lincoln Wallace played a beautiful ball in the middle to Lord, who one-touched it past the ONU keeper to tie the score. The teams headed into halftime still locked at 1-1, with Otterbein's chances missing high.

In the second half, neither team could pull ahead, as Otterbein moved to 7-2-2 on the season, 2-1-1 in the OAC.

Otterbein held the edge in corners (9-3) and slightly in shots, 15-12. Burdine finished the match with three saves.

The Cardinals will head to Wilmington on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
