In set one, the Cardinals hit an impressive .329 as a team, compared to a .226 from the opposing Fighting Muskies. Otterbein and Muskingum traded points back and forth until the Cardinals pulled ahead 16-13, thanks to a Muskingum attack error. During the second set, Otterbein jumped ahead from the start, never falling behind the Fighting Muskies. The Cardinals led in all categories, with their largest lead being 18-13. Otterbein's offense took control and a kill from senior Lexi Scott granted the Cardinal crew their second set win, 25-18.

In the third and final set, Otterbein dominated all categories yet again. Backed by a service run from senior Emma Steiger, the Cardinals had their largest lead at 23-11, never allowing a Muskingum lead. Otterbein out swung the Fighting Muskies by a large margin, as well as having five service aces compared to two. After a clean sweep on their home court, Otterbein took set three 25-17. This brings their record on the year to 15-3 and 3-0 in OAC play.
