GAMBIER, OH - Otterbein faced a strong test Saturday against No. 13 Kenyon, one of the nation's top Division III programs, ultimately falling 9–0. The nationally ranked Owls gained momentum with a sweep in doubles play and carried that level into singles competition.
The Cardinals continued to compete throughout the lineup, highlighted by a strong performance from Jake Chilcote, who battled to a 6-4, 6-1 showing at No. 4 singles to lead Otterbein's efforts. The Cardinals fought through several competitive stretches and extended rallies against a deep Kenyon squad, gaining valuable experience against one of the nation's top teams.
Otterbein continues the weekend slate tomorrow with a matchup against Rhodes College, hosted by Kenyon.
