Golf sweeps OAC Athlete of the Week honors

WESTERVILLE – The Otterbein University golf team swept the OAC Athlete of the Week awards, as announced on Wednesday afternoon. Carter Woodward and Olivia Dickson were selected, following outstanding performances over the weekend.

Woodward won medalist honors after a two hole playoff in the Otterbein Thaw Out. The senior shot a season-low 68 in the first round before a 71 on Sunday to finish the weekend with a 139 (-5). He was key in the men's team winning the tournament.

In her first tournament with Otterbein, Dickson made an immediate impact, earning medalist honors. Dickson shot an 80 on Saturday followed by a 78 on Sunday for a two-day total of 158. The Cardinals won the tournament with a team score of 641.

Both the men's and women's teams will compete at the Muskingum Invitational on Sunday and Monday. The event will be held at the Cambridge Country Club.
