Kennedy competes at NCAA Championships

CORALVILLE, Ia. – Sophomore Kellie Kennedy's season came to a close on Friday at the first-ever NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships. Friday also closed out the second season for the Otterbein women's wrestling program.

The 110-pounder dropped her opening bout in a technical fall to the No. 5 seeded Nyla Valencia of Iowa. In the wrestlebacks, Kennedy dropped a late 11-0 tech fall decision to King's Avery Kibelbek.

Kennedy wraps up her season as Otterbein's first-ever NCAA Qualifier, as 2026 was the first year the sport became sponsored by the NCAA. This marked her first trip to the national tournament after placing third in the region back in February.
