Brantley Curnutte

Brantley Curnutte comes to Otterbein after spending the previous four years at Bluffton University. A 2020 graduate of Bluffton University, Curnutte began his coaching career following graduation. After spending the 2021 and 2022 seasons as a graduate assistant, Curnutte was elevated to assistant head coach of the Beavers. 

During his tenure at Bluffton, Curnutte assisted multiple record-breaking teams. In 2021 the team finished with its highest ever Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament finish. Following that, in 2023, Curnutte assisted the Beavers to a school high 22 wins and a 3rd place finish in the HCAC. Bluffton was later named HCAC coaching staff of the year. 
As an assistant, Curnutte has been responsible for pitching, recruiting, academics, and strength programs. His versatility allows him to help in all facets of the program. 

While at Bluffton, Curnutte played for five years while being a staple on the pitching staff. Curnutte was a part of Bluffton's first-ever Heartland Conference tournament team in 2018. Before joining the coaching staff, Curnutte coached for the Midwest Marlins. During the summer of 2017, Curnutte competed for the runner up Grand Lake Mariners in the GLCSL. 
He graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School in 2015. After High school, Curnutte graduated from Bluffton in 2020 and earned his MAEd in 2022.
