Brink Ambler


Brink Ambler, 24, begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Otterbein baseball program, specializing in hitting and coaching first base.

Ambler arrived to Otterbein from the University of Alabama, where he was a two-year member of the baseball team (2012 and 2013) as a preferred walk-on. He graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and a management degree.

Ambler also works as a professional instructor at Bo Jackson Sports Elite in Columbus, managing the 17U Black Sox team and providing individual lessons. In addition, he helps evaluate talent throughout the Midwest for Prep Baseball Report Ohio.

On top of his collegiate play, Ambler has competed within the Collegiate Baseball League of Europe, the Coastal Plains Summer League and the Sunbelt Collegiate Summer League. A native of Williamsburg, Va., he was four-year varsity letterman at Jamestown High School and played for Bobby Valentine's All-American team from 2010-11.

Ambler and his wife, Reagan, reside together in Columbus.
