Colton Hann is entering his eighth year with the Otterbein baseball program in 2025, having spent two seasons as a player before transitioning into a coaching role over the past six years. He currently serves as an assistant coach with responsibilities including player development, catchers, and hitting instruction.
During his time at Otterbein, Hann has helped guide the Cardinals to an OAC regular-season championship and two OAC Tournament titles. His coaching resume includes mentoring 40 All-Conference players, six All-Region selections, two OAC Player of the Year honorees, and one All-American.
Before returning to Otterbein, Hann spent the 2023 season at Eastern Illinois University as the Director of Player Development and Operations. He worked primarily with catchers and hitters, contributing to one of the most successful seasons in program history. The Panthers won a school-record 38 games, captured the OVC Tournament championship, and made just their third NCAA Tournament appearance, competing in the Vanderbilt Regional. Hann helped coach four All-OVC performers, including Ryan Ignoffo, who was selected in the 20th round of the MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins.
Hann also brings summer collegiate experience, having served as an assistant and interim head coach for the Kokomo Jackrabbits of the Northwoods League in 2022, and coaching the Ohio Bison of the Great Lakes Collegiate League in 2021.
A native of Ohio, Hann earned both his bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing, and his MBA from Otterbein University.
