Collaros GA 21

Dmitri Collaros

Dmitri Collaros began his second year as a graduate assistant coach for the OtterbeinĀ Baseball program in 2022-23.

A Steubenville product, Collaros recently finished a solid playing career for the Cardinals as an infielder… primarily at second base. The five-year journeyman played in over 130 games from start to finish, with 107 of those coming in the starting lineup.

The fiery team leader was part of three Ohio Athletic Conference championship teams, which all subsequently made NCAA appearances in different regionals. He was voted to the OAC’s All-Tournament in 2019 when Otterbein swept through the league bracket as a No. 4 seed.

Collaros, who exercised a fifth year of eligibility due to the pandemic, hit .331 as a graduate senior and ranks eighth all-time in program history for most stolen bases. He also maintained a career fielding percentage of .950 defensively.

Collaros received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and is now closing in on a master’s in business administration (MBA).
