Bobby Buckler begins his first year as a graduate assistant coach for Otterbein in 2024, helping coach the defense and special teams.
A four-year linebacker in the program, Buckler overcame injuries early in his career to play in all but one (19) games over his final two seasons.
As a senior, he led the team in tackles (92) and ranked eighth in the Ohio Athletic Conference at 9.2 per game. That run featured a career-high 16 stops against Wilmington and another 14 at nationally-ranked Mount Union.
In addition to his efforts on the field, Buckler compiled a 3.47 cumulative GPA as a sport management major during his undergraduate years. He was later selected as Otterbein’s representative/nominee for the National Football Foundation’s (Columbus chapter) awards banquet.
Buckler hails from Vandalia, Ohio and was a standout at Butler High School, where he excelled on both sides of the ball.
