Dalton Jarvis

Dalton Jarvis begins his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Cardinals, overseeing the defensive line.

Jarvis, a 2017 graduate of Otterbein, was a four-year letterman while playing a variety of positions throughout his college run. He entered the program as a fullback, spending a year-plus on offense before transitioning to the opposite side of the ball.

He became a two-year starter in the trenches, playing his junior year at nose guard when the team was shorthanded before lining up at defensive end as a senior. He totaled 75 tackles (9.5 for loss) across his final two seasons, earning honorable mention All-OAC status to culminate his career.

Jarvis was also chosen by the Otterbein coaches to wear the heralded No. 5 as a senior, distributed to one upperclassmen each season that best represents positive attributes of the entire program. Former player Josh Worthington, tragically killed in a car accident in 2004, had worn the numeral.

A native of Bellevue, Ohio, Jarvis was an All-Ohio performer during his time in high school before earning a bachelor’s degree in allied health at Otterbein. He is now working toward his master’s in allied health administration.
