Darren Waters begins his first as an assistant coach at Otterbein, helping coach the outside linebackers.
Waters returns to his alma mater after a 15-year stint at Licking Heights High School, where he amassed exactly 100 wins as head coach throughout a success run. He guided the Hornets to four league titles and four playoff appearances.
A full-time health and physical education teacher, Waters also holds high school experience as either a coordinator or head coach at Tri-Valley and Franklin Heights.
A 1994 graduate of Otterbein, Waters played linebacker for one season before coming on staff as a student assistant coach.
He and his wife, Stacy, currently reside in Blacklick and have two children; son Gavin, a sophomore linebacker at Case Western Reserve, and 16-year old daughter, Olivia.
