Dustin Calhoun enters his third year as an assistant coach at Otterbein, and second year in full-time capacity. He serves as special teams coordinator and also focuses on the defensive backs.
Calhoun arrived to the Cardinals in 2017 after working as the defensive coordinator for nearby Johnstown High School. Prior to that, he had coaching stints with Ohio Dominican, London High School and the Marion Mayhem of the Continental Indoor Football League.
A 1993 graduate of Otterbein, Calhoun played both football and baseball for the Cardinals before ultimately serving as a graduate assistant at Ohio State from 1995-96, coaching the secondary. He went on to coach defense at Edinboro (Pa.) for three years before returning to Ohio.
He and his wife, Wendi, currently reside in Johnstown with their sons, Parker and Caden.
