Granger Long begins his second year as an assistant coach at Otterbein, helping guide the tight ends.
Long is familiar with the Ohio Athletic Conference after graduating from Muskingum University (as a double major in finance and political science) in the spring of 2019.
A 2x All-OAC selection at tight end, Long played in 38 of a possible 40 games while suiting up in New Concord. He finished career with 113 catches for 1,171 yards and eight touchdowns… averaging 12.4 yards per catch as a senior.
Long was a three-sport standout at Zanesville High School, competing in basketball and track along with his effort on the gridiron. His football team made the OHSAA State Final Four during his senior campaign.
Long, who now lives nearby in Columbus, works at a brokerage firm in commercial lending and stays active with Special Olympics.
