Hunter Joseph 2021

Hunter Joseph

Hunter Joseph begins his first full year coaching at Otterbein in the fall of 2021, after initially helping the staff during the pandemic-shortened season in the spring.

A former standout wide receiver for the Cardinals, Joseph is now helping oversee the same position group that he flourished at during an undergrad in 2016 and 2017. He transferred to Westerville (as a junior) from Ohio Dominican and blossomed into a 2x All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer.

Joseph ultimately tallied 89 catches for 1,488 yards and 15 touchdowns during his two seasons, averaging 78.3 yards per game and 16.7 per catch. His 221 yards during a Rhine River Cup victory over Heidelberg rank as the fourth most in a single game at Otterbein.

After his senior season, Joseph was invited to attend The Ohio State University’s Pro Day across town at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. He was one of four pass catchers for quarterback J.T. Barrett and participated in all drills/events for NFL scouts.

A native of New Philadelphia, Joseph received his bachelor’s degree in allied health and now works full-time as a small commercial inside sales specialist at Nationwide. His younger brother, Jent, is currently a wide receiver at Eastern Michigan.
