Jack Gammon begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Otterbein football program, helping coach the wide receivers.
Gammon, a 2015 graduate of Marshall University, was a two-year letterman for the Thundering Herd at wide receiver and four-year member of the program overall. He started his career as a preferred walk-on before earning a scholarship.
While at Marshall, Gammon was part of a Conference USA East title in 2013 followed by a Conference USA Championship season in 2014. The program won three-straight bowl games during his stretch, defeating Maryland in the Military Bowl, Northern Illinois in the Boca Raton Bowl and then Connecticut in the St. Petersburg Bowl.
Gammon then spent the 2016 season as a graduate transfer at University of Tennessee at Martin, where the Skyhawks eventually played to an Ohio Valley Coneference runner-up finish.
A native of Columbus, Gammon attended Bishop Watterson High School and played on the 2010 OHSAA Division III State championship team.
Gammon, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business management, recently worked in the financial services industry and currently resides in Columbus.
