Jermaine Burket begins his fourth year as an assistant coach at Otterbein in the fall of 2021, and his third season in full-time capacity after initially coming aboard as a GA. He specializes in overseeing the defensive secondary, strength and conditioning and other administrative duties.
Burket arrived to Otterbein after a four-year career (2015-18) at fellow Ohio Athletic Conference school Heidelberg, where he was a business administration/sport management double major and earned his degree in the spring of 2019.
Burket was a four-year letterman and two-year starter at defensive back, with his senior class ultimately helping the program win 23 games during the span. The Student Princes posted a 7-3 record during his junior season, tying for second in the OAC standings, as he led the team with four interceptions and ranked fifth at 44 total tackles.
A native of Galion, Ohio, Burket was part of four OHSAA playoff teams and earned first team all-conference honors. He also holds experience working multiple youth football camps.
Burket also holds his master's in business administration (MBA) from Otterbein.
