Kyle Zies begins his second year as a graduate assistant coach for the Otterbein football program. He is now overseeing the quarterback position after initially guiding tight ends and wide receivers during his first season.
A 2020 graduate of Otterbein, Zies earned a degree in communications and served as a student assistant with the Cardinals in 2017, helping coach the quarterbacks.
He has worked as the varsity wide receivers coach for nearby St. Charles Prep, while also contributing as JV head coach/offensive coordinator, during the 2018-19 season. Zies has also been a private quarterback and wide receiver coach with Otterbein Hall of Famer Matt D’Orazio.
A 2016 graduate of Granville High School, Zies attended fellow Ohio Athletic Conference school Mount Union as a freshman before an unfortunate injury ended his playing career. He will now be working toward his master’s in allied health at Otterbein.
