Otterbein University Athletics

Marshal Freda begins his first year as an assistant at Otterbein, helping coach the defensive line.

Freda is a 2001 graduate of nearby Capital University, where he was a three-year letterman for the Crusaders before earning his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He led the team in sacks for three-straight seasons as a defensive end.

A standout for Bishop Ready High School, Freda was 2x all-conference and culminated his career with first team all-district and special mention All-Ohio honors.

He has two children, a daughter (Laurel) and son (Callen).
