Troy Robinson

Troy Robinson enters his third season with Otterbein in the fall of 2023, helping assist with the secondary unit.

Robinson, a 2017 graduate from the University of Findlay, joins the staff following a college playing career himself. He began his career at City College of San Francisco before coming back to Ohio for his final two seasons.

Robinson laced up in 16 games for the Division II Oilers, serving as a primary returner on special teams during his senior campaign. Findlay posted a 6-5 record both seasons.

The 5-foot-9 defensive back delivered a standout career for Mifflin High School in Columbus, earning All-District and All-Ohio honors in the process. He snagged a whopping 24 career interceptions, an all-divisions record throughout Central Ohio that also ranks fourth in OHSAA history.

Robinson has served as a camp/combine coach for Compete 24 and completed a spring training internship with the Detroit Tigers down in Lakeland, Fla.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in sports and recreation management, Robinson now works as a K-8 physical education teacher at nearby Columbus Humanities, Arts & Technology Academy (CHATA).
