Darrell Miller begins his 12th year as an assistant at Otterbein, and has had the privilege of working under three different head coaches. A 1979 graduate of Otterbein, Miller was a four-year player for the Cardinals while earning bachelor's degrees in Business Administration & Political Science. He later went on to receive a master's degree from The Ohio State University in Sports Administration and Coaching in 1981.

Miller, the co-founder of Aqua Science, Inc. and The USA Sports Academy in Columbus, Ohio, has recently been awarded a minor league basketball franchise in the Central Basketball Association. The Columbus Condors inaugural season will get underway March of 2016. Â
He and his wife, Shawn, reside in New Albany and have two children; Madi, a 2015 Otterbein graduate and four-year letterwinner in women's basketball, and son Darrell III (Trey), who was a two-year letterman from 2014-16 as a member of the men’s basketball team.
