Grant Spicer

Grant Spicer begins his first year as an assistant coach for the Otterbein Men’s Basketball program in 2023-24.

A recent 2023 graduate of nearby Ohio Wesleyan University, Spicer comes to Westerville after a four-year playing career for the Battling Bishops. He was a four-year starter, three-year captain, NCAC Newcomer of the Year, and ranked Top-10 in the league for blocked shots and rebounds as a senior. OWU was a combined 31-21 over his final two seasons.

Spicer graduated with over a 3.0 GPA as a health and human kinetics major while gaining experience in many other areas. He was a team representative on the Athletic Council, worked part-time on the Game Operations staff, and was a practice court coordinator for The Basketball Tournament (TBT).

A native of Cincinnati, Spicer was a four-year standout at Lakota East High School before venturing up north. He has since gained volunteer experience at Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
