Robert Mock enters his second season as volunteer assistant coach with the men's basketball program.

A graduate of Columbus West High School, Mock played football at the University of Toledo and basketball at Central State University before coming to Otterbein where he helped lead the Cardinals to a 30-3 record and the NCAA Division III national championship in 2002. Mock was named the team’s defensive player of the year.

Mock has coached girls’ basketball at Sherwood Middle School for two seasons and boys’ basketball at West High School for one season in Columbus. In addition, he has spent many years coaching AAU boys’ basketball at the Far East Community Center in Columbus.

He is employed with the Columbus Recreation & Parks Department for the past 12 years, helping city youth compete in basketball, football, track and field, and soccer.

Coach Mock is a father to two girls Sydnee, 11, and Paige, 7.
