Heather Bailes enters her second year as an assistant coach for Otterbein in 2023, after spending the fall of 2021 in a similar role at nearby Capital.
During that lone season in Bexley, she helped the Comets post a 7-15 record after the program had gone 1-18 the year prior.
Bailes has an extensive history coaching at the high school, club, and collegiate levels. At the high school ranks, Bailes has served as assistant coaches at Keystone, St. Joseph Academy, Aurora, and Valley Forge all within the greater Cleveland area.
On the club circuit, Bailes has worked as a National Team Coach and Operations Coordinator for Mintonette Sports. Prior to joining Mintonette, she spent time working with Maverick Volleyball, Eastside Cleveland Juniors, and Academy Volleyball Cleveland.
Bailes also got her feet wet coaching in the collegiate realm by serving as an assistant at Ohio Christian University from 2018-20.
